"I'd like to start by apologizing for the delay in writing to you guys. I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I wanted to send a little note to say Thanks!. Thanks for the wonderful hunting experience Tatum Plantation provided to me. I have hunted many places from Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama in the South to Kansas, Missouri and Illinois in the North, and I have never, never had a more enjoyable stay than I did at Tatum. I sat there in the passenger seat on my way home reflecting on the awesome experience I just had, and wondered what made such a difference? I think the biggest difference that sets Tatum apart from other hunting experiences is the attention to detail that Tatum provides. It shows in every aspect of the experience. Never had I encountered a staff that makes you feel so welcome. Mrs. Renee's tour of the facilities, pointing out the details of lodge, to Mr. Allen and Slade sitting outside with the hunters telling stories and having a drink or two. As far as your guides…. Wow…where to start? Uncle Rusty, Eli, Latham, "Chuck Norris" Forrest, and of course my main man J-Rob… they are awesome! Never had I been around a group of guides that make a hunter feel so welcome, and so taken care of. Those guys did a fantastic job, and worked there tails off to ensure we had everything we needed the entire trip.
I have never felt as though I were leaving friends behind when leaving from hunting lodge before, but that is exactly the way I felt when leaving Tatum. You are wonderful people who treat clients as family, and that in itself is what makes Tatum so special. (Not to mention all of the deer). It was a pleasure meeting all of you, and it is an experience I will never forget. I made some really great memories at Tatum Plantation, and for that I thank you. Kevin Mercer is a great friend for taking me to such a wonderful place. I appreciate it more than I can say. I hope to see you guys I the future, but until then keep doing exactly what you're doing… because you guys have it right!
P. S. Slade, Good luck with the up and coming wedding, and if you guys could see if J-Rob made a copy of our hunts together I would love a copy.

I go to many places all over the country every year to produce outdoor 
television shows and Tatum Plantation is without question one of best places that I’ve been. Alan and Slade Priest and the staff know the land and they know about hunting whitetails in the southeast. On top of the deer hunting they treat people like family and go out of their way to make one’s stay as memorable as it can possibly be.

I have been blessed to take the two largest bucks of my life the last two years at Tatum Plantation. Last year I was able to bring my wife and three kids along for an unforgettable experience. My wife particularly enjoyed the lodge's beautiful and serene lakeside setting. The food was terrific and Alan even catered to the every whim of three young picky eaters. My kids especially enjoyed the golf cart rides around the plantation.
Lastly, Alan, Slade and the other guides know the deer herd well and work hard to make sure you have the best opportunity to take the buck of a lifetime. Come and try Southern hospitality at its finest in the mild climate and rolling hills of Tatum Plantation. You won't be disappointed!
